an insemination fee (before the first insemination)
-
a pregnancy fee (due on day 45 after the last insemination)
Credit in Case of Non-Pregnancy
If a mare remains barren in 2026 (not in foal or resorbed), the pregnancy fee for the 2027 season will be fully credited, provided a veterinary certificate is submitted by 01 November 2026.
Special regulations apply to the use of frozen semen (FS) (see section 7).

Pregnancy Fee
The pregnancy fee is due on day 45 after the last insemination.
Non-Pregnancy / Resorption
A veterinary certificate confirming non-pregnancy must be submitted without request.
Without such confirmation, the mare is considered pregnant and the pregnancy fee will be charged after 45 days.
In the event of resorption by 01 November, the pregnancy fee will be credited for the same mare in the following season, provided a veterinary certificate is submitted.
A change of mare is only possible in justified exceptional cases and after prior consultation.
All prices are net prices.
Discounts for multiple mares may be granted upon request.
7. Frozen Semen (FS)
General
Upon purchase of frozen semen, the breeder receives one insemination dose per order.
There is no entitlement to a refund or credit in case of non-pregnancy.
Frozen semen may only be used for conventional artificial insemination or embryo transfer.
Use for ICSI or other advanced reproductive technologies is permitted only with prior written approval and conclusion of a separate usage agreement.
Invoicing & Payment
Frozen semen is charged per dose and must be paid at the time of order.
Stud fee splitting does not apply to frozen semen.
For repeat orders for the same mare, a discount of €100 is granted on the respective frozen semen insemination fee.
Shipping & Containers
Shipping is carried out via courier service.
Shipping costs and any applicable TRACES certificates are not included in the frozen semen fee.
Containers are available at the station by prior arrangement.
Costs apply for outbound and return transport as well as liquid nitrogen.
In case of late return or loss, the container will be charged in full.
Use & Documentation
Frozen semen remains the property of Hengsthaltung Sosath.
Unused semen must be returned in full.
Transfer to third parties, splitting of doses, or use for unapproved mares is prohibited.
Only one covering certificate is issued per sold dose.
The semen usage certificates included with the shipment must be completed in full, signed, and returned immediately after insemination.
Empty frozen semen straws must be enclosed.
Embryo Transfer
In the case of embryo transfer, the stud fee is due for each developed or frozen embryo, regardless of whether it is transferred during the same breeding season.
Each developed or frozen embryo must be reported to the stallion station.

The use of young stallions prior to completion of their performance test is at the breeder’s own risk.
The station makes every effort to obtain the required performance records but cannot guarantee their completion.
