Cador - the Elite Stallion 2025 and Oldenburg stallion of the year 2015 was himself successful up to 1.55m jumping. Now his scopey, large-framed, long-legged offspring with the best attitude impress on national and international show grounds all over the world.
His enormous jumping ability and power are not least due to his impressive dam line. The successful Heida line produced Cador's highly successful sibling Cadora (1.50m), the OS winning mare and internationally successful Lady Cadora OLD as well as the licensed stallions Comanchero, Diamant de Landor and Calandor.
Description
At a young age, Cador won tests for young show jumpers with dream scores of up to 9.0. He qualified several times for the Bundeschampionat for show jumpers. Cador was successful in advanced level show jumping competitions - both nationally and internationally.
He passed his 30-days-test in Neustadt (Dosse) with a total score of 8.43. For his jumping ability he received the highest mark of 9.06 (scope: 9.25, technique: 8.50).
As a youngster, Cador was leased to “De Ijzereman” in the Netherlands for two years. After returning home to Hof Sosath, he competed at the national championships in Rastede and ranked 3rd of the ”Oldenburger Landeschampionat”. Only two weeks later, he was declared champion of the 4-year-old horses in the “Deister-Cup” with a score of 8.9.
In the following years, Cador was able to place with Hendrik Sosath at numerous international and important showgrounds such as Hamburg, Elmlohe and Rastede up to 1.55m.
In 2015, he was named Oldenburg Stallion of the Year (VTV Stallion). 10 years later, in 2025, he received the highest award of the Oldenburg Verband and was named Oldenburg Elite Stallion.
Origin
Cador’s sire Catoki was highly successful in international show jumping classes. He started his career with Gerd Sosath, before partnering up with Philipp Weishaupt to win World-Cup classes. Catoki has produced numerous successful offspring: licensed breeding stallions and competition horses such as Catch me if you can, who won the team bronze medal at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon with Laura Klaphake in 2018.
Cador’s dam, state premium and elite mare Lady Heida II by Landor S, received an incredible score of 10.0 for jumping in her mare performance test. She is the sister of the “National-Mare-Champion” Lady Heida I.
Cador's sister Cadora is very successfully competing in advanced jumping tests with Hendrik Sosath as well as with Janne Sosath-Hahn. Their younger sister Lady Cadora OLD was mare champion of Oldenburg-International in 2014 and has placed on S-level. Their halfbrother Diamant de Landor by Diamant de Semilly has been licensed for Oldenburg-International in 2015 and qualified as a five-year-old for the Bundeschampionat. His half brother Calandor by Casalido was licensed in 2019 for Oldenburg-International.
On the mother's side, the modern stallion goes back to the Furioso II-blood through Landor S and Contender. Out of this dam line, there are a lot of licensed stallions like Diamant de Landor, Diamant de Plaisir I and II, Landor S, Lambrusco Ask, Lagoheidor G, Landwerder, Coulthard, Incello and Omnistar.

Cador's foals are modern, sportive and long-legged types with outstanding basic gaits. Cador produced licensed sons, among them also Campitello who is succsessful up to 1,45m. In Germany alone, more than 70 offspring are successful in the advanced class. Numerous of his offspring are also convincing internationally in advanced level courses.

Catch Me P won the gold medal at the German U25 Championships in 2023 under Mylen Kruse.
Chalyna and Eske Schierhold were runners-up in the German U21 Championships in 2023.
Several offspring won youngster classes and were qualified for the Bundeschampionat and the World Championships for Young Jumping Horses.
In 2018, the four-year-old Bajrang by Cador x Silvio I x Calypso II won the Belgian championships for young horses and was awarded with the title "Elite Horse". Bajrang is now internationally S-successful.
In 2019 his son Cartwright out of a Quaid I dam and bred by Jost Alexander Schäfer became Hanoverian Champion of the 6-year old jumpers. Cartwright also convinced at the Bundeschampionat by winning both qualification for the 6-year-olds.
IB Chica by Cador x Escudo qualified for the Big Final of the World Championships for 6-year-old show jumpers in 2019. In the "Small Final" a Cador daughter also attracted attention. Citty Cat PJ by Cador out of Cat Canadia PJ by Clinton I x Acorado I and Marc Bettinger were the best German pair. Both mares are now successful in 1.40m and 1.45 classes.
Catch Me M by Cador became Hanoverian Champion in the class for four-year-old jumping horses in 2021 in Verden.
Catch Me P by Cador x Restorator and Mylen Kruse became German Champions (U25) in 2023.
