Summer show: German champion and winner of the Golden Saddle in the lead
Over 1000 entries - that was a record for the summer show!
The young horses took the spotlight on the first two days. And there were not only very talented youngsters at the start, but also particularly good riders.
The newly crowned German champion, Patrick Stühlmeyer, received an 8.8 for his round with Dijon and won the 1.20m show jumping test for young horses.
Hendrik Sosath was on the course with the station's stallions and many offspring from the family breeding programme. He was in good form in all tests, achieving top placings and victories in the 1.15m test for young show jumpers with Toucento (8.8) and at 1.00m level with Capital One by Cador (8.7).
Friday was rounded off for the first time with a 1.40m class. Here again, the riders showed their class. Course designer Werner Tapken summarised it well: "They all ride as if there was a car to be won." In the end, one of the youngest participants came out on top. The winner of the Golden Saddle 2024, Max Paschertz, won with his successful horse Sem Semper. This put him ahead of Hendrik Sosath, who placed his top stallions Ogano in 2nd, Vagabond in 3rd and Casino Grande in 6th place.
Also in the "top ten" were the successful young rider Lisa Maria Funke, the German Champion (U25) 2023, Mylen Kruse, the former German Champion and "birthday girl" Mynou Diederichsmeier as well as Maximilian Wurster and Saskia Kobe.
On Saturday and Sunday, spectators on the showgrounds and on ClipMyHorse can once again look forward to a varied programme. Whether amateur show jumping and qualifications for the Pony Bundeschampionat, costume lead rein class, team competition or advanced (S) level show jumping - it's sure to be exciting.
