Description

San Riant was one of the audience favorites at the Oldenburg licensing days in the fall of 2012. In 2015, he was victorious in novice (A) and elementary (L) level dressage tests for young horses. He impresses with his outstanding willingness to perform and collect.

Exceptional type brilliance is paired here with excellent lineage, correct foundation and impeccable conformation. Three first-class basic gaits, presented from a swinging back, promise the highest riding comfort.

The congenial stallion pleases with his loose movement through the body, supplemented by a rich walk, very active hindquarters mechanics in the trot and the always uphill canter.

According to the licensing commission, he was closest to the ideal trot on the lunge. And it could hardly be more international: born in Finland, licensed in Oldenburg, with Oldenburg sire and Dutch dam sire, bred from a Holstein performance line that has been maintained for generations in Denmark.

San Riant is now successful in the US.

Origin

The sire San Amour was a main premium winner and is trained up to the heavy class. As a son of Jazz, the dam's sire Riant is currently very desirable. The Holstein stallion Come Back II, who was successful in advanced (S) level dressage tests, adds another strong performance component to the pedigree.

The Holstein dam line 7126 is also represented by almost 50 other licensed stallions in use worldwide, including Acobat I, II and III, Acord I, II and III, Athletico, Fra Diavolo and Freemann, Aktionär and Burggraaf. Casalido also comes from this line.

The best known and most successful sport horse of the dam line is Bella Donna, the Olympic horse of Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum.

Offspring

The Oldenburg breeding director, Dr. Wolfgang Schulze-Schleppinghoff, was very impressed with San Riant's heredity when inspecting the first crop of foals.

The young stallion had now confirmed the good impression he had made at the licensing itself. His foals were harmonious, uniform and smart, as well as having very good foundations and movements throughout. The breeding director had particularly emphasized the very good hindquarters of the foals shown.
