A profile of the elite mare Gestelle M
Gestelle M is a mare who has impressed us right from the start. With her attitude, her potential and her exceptional dam line, she possesses all the qualities that define a modern competition and broodmare. It is all the more wonderful to see how her Quality is now reflected in her offspring.
This Elite mare by Toulon hails from the successful Volstelle line (Voltaire x Zeus). Her dam, Volstelle, produced numerous international competition horses, including Cristello, who was successful up to 1.70 metres, as well as several other horses for top-level sport. The family has impressed for many years with its willingness to perform, ability and rideability. The breeder of this special line is W.F.J. Wigink-Markvoort from the Netherlands.
Gestelle M was also successful in sport herself. Under Juulia Jyläs, she achieved placings in international young horse show jumping competitions. Later, Jannes Schultewolter and Niclas Aromaa were successful with her up to advanced level before she returned to breeding.
Gestelle M came to us through our connection with Herman van Triest and Juulia Jyläs as part of our collaboration with Finishing Touch Wareslage. Today, she is one of the most important broodmares on our stud.
With just four foals, Gestelle M has an incredible track record: she produced the licensed and internationally successful Like Pleasure M by For Pleasure, as well as the 1c-winning stallion from the 2025 OS licensing, Casino Toulon by Casino Berlin. Gestelle’s only daughter, Kattebelle M, is the dam of the stallion Orpheus, who was recently sold to Sweden for €2.1 million at the Aloga Auction in Sentower Park, Belgium.
We currently have a promising yearling by Casino Berlin growing up with us. At the same time, we are eagerly awaiting Gestelle’s next foal by Ermitage Kalone.
We are delighted to now also have her only full sister, Hestelle M, with us. The mare, who is also successful in sport, is already in foal to our young stallion United Air.
