Fantastic horse sport and great atmosphere at Spring Tournament

The Spring Tournament at Hof Sosath in Lemwerder once again attracted numerous riders and equestrian enthusiasts this year. With over 1,000 entries and 500 horses competing, three days of high-calibre show jumping were on display. From 8 am until 8 pm, the venue was a hive of activity – with ideal spring weather and perfect conditions for both participants and spectators.

Many amateurs and professionals took advantage of the varied programme of events to present young horses, make their debut in the sport and prepare for the coming season. The professional facilities in Lemwerder were once again particularly praised: short distances, excellent arenas, superb organisation and the warm hospitality of the Sosath family and the entire team.

In the young horse jumping classes, Hendrik Sosath secured two victories with the stallion Clear Heart Z. Jannes Schultewolter was also doubly successful with Lady Omaha by Ogano. In the M-class young horse jumping class, Amelie Ottens secured victory with My Dream of Truedelight.

The amateur riders also put in strong performances. Clara Tinka Heineking and Josephine Antz won the Class L style jumping competition. Clara Tinka Heineking continued her winning streak and also claimed victory in the 1.20m style jumping competition.

The show jumping competitions on Saturday provided some sporting highlights. The 1.30m class was won by Nations Cup rider Sören Pedersen on Tailormade Calimocho. The reigning German Children’s Champion, Eske Biermann, triumphed in another M-level show jumping class. In the 1.40-metre S-level show jumping, veteran Hilmar Meyer took the top spot with Orion ter Doorn in 63.99 seconds. Second place went to Mylene Nagel with Makani W, followed by Hendrik Sosath with Diamant de Plaisir II. Just a few hundredths of a second behind, Hendrik Sosath also took fourth place with Casino Grande.

As well as the sport itself, the high-Quality prizes from the sponsors were a source of great delight for the participants. The winners and runners-up were able to look forward to prizes including riding helmets from uvex, stirrups from freejump, exclusive leather goods from Passier, and supplementary feed from Bonekare and Derby Pferdefutter.

The 2026 Spring Tournament was thus once again a resounding success and has already sparked anticipation for the major summer tournament at Hof Sosath, which will take place from 17 to 21 June 2026.
