Late Entry Show in Lemwerder: Hendrik Sosath celebrates double victory in 1.40m class
The Late Entry Show in Lemwerder once again attracted many riders and equestrian sport fans this year. With over 900 entries, there were three days of interesting show jumping competitions in all classes. The cold and rain set in on Wednesday, so the participants were particularly pleased with the car parks on the yard, the warm and dry warm-up arena and the stable ebb and flow arena. The high-calibre field of participants with internationally successful riders, young talents and amateurs was particularly impressive.
The tournament started on Monday with novice (A) level tests for young show jumpers. It continued on Tuesday at L and M level. Numerous training stables from all over Lower Saxony used the advanced classes to introduce their horses to show jumping.
Girl power was the order of the day on Wednesday. The Amazons Sandra Auffarth (Olympic eventing champion with Dream Worker), Tabea-Marie Meiners (Luc M) and Jule Feldhaus (De Henry) secured the victories in the medium (M*) level show jumping competition. In the following two-phase competition over 1.30 metres, national squad rider Eske Schierhold and Chalyna von Cador and Svenja Hempel and Coockie came out on top.
In the afternoon, Hendrik Sosath secured a double victory in the 1.40m jumping competition with the station stallions Vagabond and Casino Grande. Viktoria Bokern (Chewbacca) and Loort Fleddermann (Sir Henrie) won the L and M* amateur style jumping competitions.
