Description
Sold to California competing with a young woman in 1.60 m-classes, we still have frozen semen available of this Chambertin-son.
We celebrated many victories and wonderful experiences with Chalan. His most noteworthy success was the 2007 victory in the North German mastery with Hendrik Sosath at the Hamburg Derby. Chalan was awarded an impressive breeding value for jumping of 155 points in 2007 and 2008, which was increased to 160 points in 2009.
Chalan confirmed the high esteem he enjoyed again in 2006 by receiving the "Promising Stallion" award given at the International Stallion Show in Zwolle and winning advanced level tests. He took third place in the "Sires of the World" jumping test at the World Championships for young jumpers in Lanaken, and finished in second place at the State Championships in Rastede. With Hendrik Sosath, he achieved a second place finish in the Grand Prix for youngsters at the show in Verden and also won the Hermann Schridde prize for the best style.
In 2005, Chalan participated in the World Championships for young jumpers in Lanaken and won ribbons in Grands Prix at national and international competitions.
The 2003 Holstein State Champion and two-time "Bundeschampionat" finalist was the undisputed winner of his 30-days-test in Prussendorf in 2001, where he achieved the highest index in dressage as well as in jumping.
Origin
Chalan is one of the first sons of the outstanding sire Chambertin, who was the winner of the final qualifiers at the Bundeschampionat as a five and six year old and is also the sire of Chacco Blue.
In the combination with Chambertin's sire, Cambridge, the dam Fucera produced the premium stallion Chateau.
The dam sire Carolus I was a successful international sport horse and is deemed one of the leading performance sires today.
Fucera's dam sire Calypso I is especially known for his many top offspring in dressage.
This is also the line of the license winners Rocadero and Laurenz as well as the sires Levantos I and II (each Vice Champion at their licensing) and of the exceedingly successful Catoki.
