A very special horse: Gerd discovered Devonport at the Hanoverian stallion market - at that time he was still a rather inconspicuous young stallion.
Under the rider he showed his whole class from the beginning. He won several tests for young riding horses, the Sport Test, the Hanoverian Championships in Verden and finally the Bundeschampionat for four-year-old stallions in Warendorf with a dream score of 9.1.
The following year, he qualified for the Bundeschampionat for five-year-old dressage horses with a score of 9.0. He was then nominated for the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, where he placed 11th in the Grand Final before moving to the Helgstrand stable.
Today Devonport is a successful Grand Prix horse.

Offspring
Devonport already has three licensed sons: Der Stern, Deventano and Decennium. Daughter Deep Connection K is age-appropriate successful in elementary class show jumping and cross-country tests. Son Denilo is reserve winner in elementary class dressage tests for young horses.
Devonport's first foals convinced at their appearances. The Oldenburg breeding director, Dr. Wolfgang Schulze-Schleppinghoff, highlighted the great tact of the offspring. All shown at the foal show in Lemwerder were soundly built and had an outstanding tact in the movements and a very good walk. The breeding director emphasised that the foals kept the tact in trot consistently, made themselves big and always "kept their hindlegs with it".
