They did it again - For Joy by For Dance and Andrea Krehenwinkel

At this year's Westphalian Championships for five-year-old dressage horses, For Joy, a dark bay daughter of For Dance - Detroit, who was already the winner of the four-year-old mares last year, won again. This year, she again showed her outstanding form and confidently secured the title.

For Joy is presented by her breeder Andrea Krehenwinkel and is still owned by her. This connection to her breeder seems to turn out to be a real stroke of luck, as the mare already impressed at the Westphalian Championships last year and subsequently finished in a respectable eighth place in the Final at the Bundeschampionat.

The judges particularly praised the trot of the typey mare and gave her an outstanding 9.0. For Joy was also convincing in walk and canter with scores of 7.5 and 8.0. In the categories of suppleness and overall impression, she received a score of 8.5. With an impressive final score of 8.3, she thus deservedly placed at the top of the starting field.

An interesting feature is the fact that For Joy is a half-sister of Embolo, another successful dressage horse bred by Andrea Krehenwinkel. Embolo was sold at the Westphalian Autumn Auction last year for an impressive 590,000 Euros.

We congratulate Andrea Krehenwinkel especially on this renewed success and look forward with excitement to the future of For Joy. The name says it all!
