Silver medal for First Date OLD

First Date OLD, a daughter of For Dance out of the elite mare Wentana by Weltmeyer – Brentano II (breeder: Dr. Hans-Hermann Lagershausen, Berne), made a strong impression.

With her rider Julie Sofie Schmitz-Heinen, the impressive mare performed well in the overall standings of the German Championships (Junior Dressage) and won the silver medal. The pair won the first qualifying competition and secured the bronze medal in the final freestyle, which led to a well-deserved second place overall.

First Date OLD has written an impressive success story in recent years. In 2020, she was crowned Oldenburg State Champion for three-year-olds and won silver at the National Championships. In 2021, she defended her state title and received the IC premium at the Brillantring of the Oldenburg Elite Show in Rastede. The following year, she took fourth place in the riding horse arena at the National Championships and eighth place among the five-year-olds. Veronika Steinhof had been her regular rider until then.

In 2022, First Date OLD changed ownership to the Schmitz-Heinen family and competed under Julie Sofie Schmitz-Heinen. The duo confirmed their success in the six-year-old qualifier at the National Championships. First Date OLD and Julie Sofie Schmitz-Heinen received top marks and secured victory with an outstanding final score of 9.3. The judges even awarded the ideal score of 10.0 for suppleness and rated the basic gaits with 8.5 in trot, 9.5 in walk, and 9.0 in canter. The perspective was again awarded a 9.5.

We congratulate everyone involved on their impressive achievements!
