Information

Description

Diamant de Plaisir II represents two of the most important bloodlines in international show jumping with the breeding combination Diamant de Semilly and For Pleasure. Diamant de Plaisir II competed for the first time this year. He has already achieved series success in novice (A) and elementary (L) level tests for young show jumpers and won a novice (A**) level test for young show jumpers with high marks. In 2022 as a five-year-old, he already won elementary class show jumping tests with a scores up to 9.0 as well as a reserve win in his first medium class show jumping test. He also qualified for the Bundeschampionat with a score of 8.8 in Mühlen. At the Bundeschampionat he placed in the final and ranked 4th in the qualification. He competed at the World Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken and jumped a nice clear round in the qualification. With this he was also the winner in the clear round competition.

Hendrik Sosath is delighted with this young stallion: "He is tall, but at the same time athletic and very good to ride. He has an incredible amount of scope and just plays with the measurements."

His full brother, the stallion Diamant de Plaisir, was fifth in the Grand Prix of Riesenbeck over 1.55m in 2021 and placed as an eight-year-old under the saddle of Holger Wulschner in the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi and Dubai as well as numerous other jumping competitions of the Emirate Tour.

Origin

The sire Diamant de Semilly was placed first in the international WBFSH-ranking as the most successful jumper sire worldwide in 2016. He has placed second in the ranking for the last years. This stallion has won team-gold at the World Equestrian Games in Spain in 2002 with Eric Levallois. One year later, he became Vice-European champion with his team in Donaueschingen. Moreover, he was awarded "Best Sire of Young Horses" in France for several times. More than 200 offspring are successful in the advanced classes, including numerous licensed stallions. Among many others, the most successful offspring in 2018 were the two top horses Don VHP Z and Emerald van't Ruytershof of the Dutch rider Harrie Smolders, who led the jumping world ranking in 2018. Diamant de Semilly was sire of Reserve Bundeschampion of the 5-year-old show jumpers Dark Knight in 2018.

The dam sire For Pleasure is placed third in the international WBFSH-ranking. This stallion has won many titles with his riders Lars Nieberg and Marcus Ehning, for example German Champion in 1995 and 2002, Olympic-team-gold-winner in 1996 and 2000, European-team-champion in 1997, 1999 and 2003. Furthermore, For Pleasure has won Grand Prix and World Cup competitions.

The great-grandfather Landor S is one of the most important Landadel-sons and father of many nationally and internationally successful sport horses like Blue Loyd (Cian O’Connor, third in the Olympic Games London 2012), Leoville (Philipp Weishaupt, Winner of the Global Champions Tour competition in Monte Carlo), Lobster (Abdullah Al Sharbatly), Lacapo (Alexander Hufenstuhl), Larry (Lauren Hunkin) and Lord G (Beezie Madden).

The dam Lady Pleasure is out of the “National-Mare-Champion” Lady Heida I, her full-sister, state premium and elite mare Lady Heida II, got an incredible score of 10.0 for jumping in her mare performance test.

Out of this dam line of Heida are many successful sport horses like the licensed Cador by Catoki (1.55m, Oldenburg VTV-stallion 2015), Cadora by Catoki (1.50m), Lady Lordana by Lordanos (CHIO Aachen Grand Prix with Hendrik Sosath in 2019), Lady Cadora by Catoki (Oldenburg-International winners mare 2014 and Vice County Champion 2017).
