Description
Vagabond - the fancy jumping stallion showed what he is made of in 2022. Wins in advanced (1.40m) level show jumping and several placings up to advanced (1.45m) level at major show grounds such as Rastede, Cloppenburg and Elmlohe put him in the top ten of Germany's most successful seven-year-old horses.
Gerd: "He impresses me with the ease and exemplary attitude with which he overcomes the highest dimensions. He does a super job, shows strong nerves and is uncomplicated. His foals are correct, smart and have particularly stable backs."
Vagabond was licensed on the occasion of the Oldenburg Stallion Days 2017 as the first son of Vagabond de la Pomme in Germany. He captivates not only by his dark jacket and the particularly masculine type expression, but also by his great sovereignty in each of his performances. Always well-balanced with a very good attitude to work, he mastered the required obstacle heights within the scope of his licensing playfully, with a great deal of ability and maximum caution.
In 2018, Vagabond successfully completed his 14-day test in Adelheidsdorf. In February 2019, he mastered the sport test in Verden with ease and received a score of 9.0 for both his ability and rideability, finishing with a final score of 8.69.
In April 2019, Vagabond competed for the very first time in a novice class show jumping test for four-year-old horses and secured the reserve victory. In 2020 and 2021, Vagabond placed in medium (M) level tests for young show jumpers and qualified for the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf. Due to his Dutch passport, he was not allowed to compete in Warendorf, but he thus fulfills the necessary requirements for final registration in Stallion Book I. In 2021, Vagabond won both elementary (L) level tests for young show jumpers and placed up to M** level several times.
As a seven-year-old, he mastered his debut in the advanced class with great ease. He won advanced (1.40m) level show jumping competitions and was placed up to advanced (1.45m) level at the important shows in Rastede, Cloppenburg and Elmlohe. He made his international debut at the end of 2022 with Hendrik in Riesenbeck, where he placed directly after harmonious clear rounds.
Origin
Sire Vagabond de la Pomme was internationally victorious in 1.60m show jumping under Pénélope Leprevost/France. Meanwhile, he is successful under Félicie Bertrand/France. He has produced 15 licensed sons to date, including Jackson de Regor, who won advanced (S***) level show jumping competitions. The dam's sire, C-Indoctro, was successful in advanced level competitions with Ulrich Kirchhoff. Although the Holstein stallion was active mainly in the Netherlands, 170 of his offspring are successful in advanced (1.40m+) level show jumping in Germany alone. Among his 15 licensed sons is our former stallion Incello.
The dam Donnalina produced the licensed Incanto (1.55m), that was sold for 500.000 Euro at the Hetzel auction, and the elite mare Je Happy Lina (1.45m) by Kannan.
Granddam Happylina is the dam of the show jumpers Oberlina-Deux by Zuidhorn (1.50m), Pikolina by Zuidhorn (int. S*), who also produced Uberlina K by Lux (1.60m) and Toberlina-Deux by Zuidhorn (1.50m), whose son Aerolus Sow by Ephebe for Ever is successful in international 1.45m show jumping.
