Description
Honoré du Soir is an elegant Trakehner premium stallion that offers a super walk, a very rhythmic trot and an expressive canter, not to mention his impeccable conformation! He has a great work ethic and is always at ease with his environment. He also presents himself with superiority and supreme ease.
Honoré du Soir shows great potential and technique while free jumping and jumping under saddle. He completed the 30-days-test in Schlieckau with a final dressage score of 8.26 in 2015.
In 2016, the Trakehner won the youngster dressage class A.
In 2017, he finished the stallion sport test successfully and won a youngster dressage class L.
Honoré du Soir received the 1c-Main Premium of the Oldenburg association for his great first crop and his very good show performance.
Out of his first crop of foals, "Kattenau“ by Honoré du Soir out of Kiss me Kate by Perechlest x Stradivari became Young Stallion Champion at the Trakehner licensing in 2018. Also, his son out of Donna Clara by Donnerhall x Pik Bube I has been licensed.
In 2019, Honoré du Soir won a youngster dressage test on M-level and placed several times.
Origin
Honoré du Soir and Millennium share the same sire, the Gribaldi son, Easy Game. Easy Game himself is very successful in Inter I and was declared elite stallion of the Trakehner Verband at a very young age.
Gribaldi was the best dressage sire (WBFSH) in the world in 2014. In 2016, he was ranked second.
On the dam line, Honoré du Soir is half-brother to Soirée d'Amour (Kira Wulferding) who won the Bundeschampionat and was Oldenburg regional champion for 3-year-old dressage horses in 2012. In 2014, she became runner-up at the "Bundeschampionat" for 5-year-old dressage horses and finished 5th at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. Meanwhile, she is placed in Inter I.
Soirée d'Amour's full-sister, Soirée du Saumur, won Bronze at the Bundeschampionat for dressage horses in 2013 and is won dressage suitability classes to level M.
Combined in Honoré du Soir's pedigree are the dressage stars Easy Game, Gribaldi, Schwadroneur, Latimer as well as the dressage sire and Kira-K's father Banditentraum (stallion performance test winner). Several generations back is the mare Amsel, the full sister to the Angloarab Burnus, who competed very successfully with Dr. Reiner Klimke in eventing and started his own top stallion line with Habicht, winning eventing to the highest level under Merlin Alewa, Sixtus (successful in 1,40 m jumpings), Buddenbrock (6th place in eventing at the Bundeschampionat for 5-year-olds under Andreas Dibowski), Connery and Imperio (successful in Grand Prix with Hubertus Schmidt).

The first crop of Honoré du Soir convinces with its inimitable attitude, the elegance and natural predisposition of the foals movements.
At the foal show 2016, the Oldenburg breeding director Dr. Wolfgang Schulze-Schleppinghoff described his foals as nice types with extraordinary long legs. Furthermore, Honoré du Soir does not inherit flat movements, as Trakehner often do, but very expressive gaits, according to Schulze-Schleppinghoff. "He is a nice improver", said the breeding director.
Lars Gehrmann, breeding director of the Trakehner association, described the foals at the 8th Lemwerder foal championship as follows:
"No. 22 by Honoré du Soir - Florencio I - Friesenstern is a foal with matchless attitude, a true, first-class heartbreaker, very rhythmic with a wished for, natural uphill canter."
"No. 23 by Honoré du Soir - Detroit - Rohdiamant is a very noble, elegant foal, well built with great charisma and rythm."
Out of his first crop of foals "Kattenau“ by Honoré du Soir out of Kiss me Kate by Perechlest x Stradivari became Young Stallion Champion at the Trakehner licensing in 2018 (picture 1). Also a youngster by Honoré du Soir out of Donna Clara by Donnerhall x Pik Bube I and is bred by Gregor Sieverding has been licensed. The second pictures shows him as a foal.
The 3-year-old Vive la Vie by Honoré du Soir x Detroit bred by Bodo Willms from Oldenburg placed 6th in the big final of the Bundeschampionat. She also convinced in Rastede and became “Oldenburg Vice Champion” in the class for 3-year-old mares and geldings Furthermore, she made it onto the so called “Brillant-Ring”, the final for the best mares at the “Oldenburg Elite Broodmare Show” and placed on the “1i premium” position.
